Hypnobirthing & Fertility

Birth has the potential to be one of the most wonderful experiences of your life. Each birth is unique, and easibirthing® is about empowering you to manage your individual experience, not fear it.

I will train you to use self-hypnosis, relaxation, visualisation and breathing methods to prepare your mind and body for birth. The easibirthing® method teaches you how to use hypnosis for pain management and aims to boost your trust in your body so you enter labour feeling calm, confident and in control.

The benefits of hypnobirthing:

  • Eliminates or reduces fear

  • Significantly reduces the need for medication

  • Reduces labour time

  • Increase the rate of spontaneous vaginal birth, reducing the need for intervention

  • Enables you to manage pain and discomfort

  • Helps you to take control of your birth experience

  • Aids bonding for you, your partner and your baby.

  • Helps you to remain calm, confident and in control

  • Reduce the likelihood of post-natal depression

  • Promotes a steady recovery

  • Promotes lactation for breast feeding

When should I start hypnobirthing?

In order to get the most out of your hypnobirthing experience, the best time to start with classes is between 24-30 weeks into your pregnancy. This gives you adequate time to practice techniques at home. However, I believe that everyone, no matter what stage, will benefit from hypnobirthing and I am therefore able to tailor sessions to your needs.

What if I am having a caesarean?

Hypnobirthing is beneficial for anybody who is bringing a child into the world, no matter what the process. Hypnobirthing sessions can be completely tailored to your needs.
